Just delivered this commission — father and grandfather of my friend Stephanie. She asked me to paint this as a gift for her father. If anyone can tell what make and model the truck is, I’m curious to know. Cars compuzzle me greatly.
I’m told the year is somewhere in the 1950s – 1960s.
Watercolor and ink, 8″x10″, April 2012.
Documenting my next commission painting. View from a Window. Oil on canvas, 30″ x 48″ (about two-thirds of a doorway). Mediocre photography by me :-P.
The lines are completely straight, I promise, though they look bowed and tilted in the photo. I finished it and sent it to its new home a few weeks ago.

Distance is already a challenge for me. In fact, that landscape a couple posts ago was a bit of distance-practice while working on this commission. Gonna keep trying :).
This very day, the deal was closed on this set of portraits. Each is done in watercolor and ink, 5″x7″. Click here if you’d like to see my current gallery of commissioned portraits.
A peek at my next few watercolor portraits, ordered and sold a couple weeks ago.
If anyone out there desires a likeness in paint, no matter where in the world you are, consider letting me give it a try :).
These are a few examples of portraits I’ve painted for various people as of 2011; each is in either oil or watercolor, sizes and prices vary.
