In short, I’m really excited about some children’s book illustration that I’ll be doing in the coming months :). Here’s a bit of personal work, a little owl character inspired by the stories in front of me, watercolor and ink:

11th Doctor – Famous Faces
Two portraits of Matt Smith from Doctor Who. This is my fanart contribution to the bittersweet knowledge of his impending regeneration. Each is a 5″x7″ graphite drawing.
I worked on the first drawing for 3 nights in a row, got frustrated, and started making more furious and scribbly marks. I call it ‘raggedy-pencil’ style. I meant to add a fez to the second one, ah well. :-)
